ABOUT THE PROJECT

A project representing the development of a product from start to finish. The “Minesweeper” project was done as part of the “CDIO” concept (Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate) for teaching development at DTU. The project involved all parts of a full developments process, from coming up with ideas for solving the problem, to designing the physical unit and the software. After agreeing how the solution should work it was then implemented and tested, and at last handed over to the “customer” in the form of a competition at the end.(We were the 2nd best out of ~20 teams)

The robot is is basically "blind" except for the infrared sensor that detects wether it has a "mine" or not. The robot is guided by a webcam mounted on a tripod, feeding images to an image processing and route calculating algorithm on a laptop, that sends commands to the robot over bluetooth.
