ABOUT THE PROJECT

TankWars! was a project in which the challenge was easy to understand but hard to execute: Program a game in C on a hardware prototyping platform.

The Hardware prototyping platform used VHDL to program an FPGA to act as a processor with roughly the same capabilities as a processor from the early 80ies. This meant alot of constraints on the design and the need to implement 'custom hardware' to shoot projectiles in a 'Scorched Earth' style game.
